For example, in Canada ING offers Aeroplan reward miles, 1 point for every $2 spent. Is there anything like this in the US?

To me, this would be pretty much the same thing as Rebating, which is illegal in all of the 50 states. You're not allowed to give a "gift" with purchase of insurance, or refund part of the commission, in the US.

In a way - State Farm does. State Farm has a bank and if you get the State Farm Platinum Visa, you can earn State Farm Dollars, which then can be used on State Farm products, such as your insurance premium.
