Default About credit cards - just for light usage

I have a debit card (Solo) which is simple to use because it's directly tied to my bank account, but many places don't accept Solo, especially online. If I got a credit card just to use occasionally, what would I need to look out for regarding charges etc? They're pretty complicated. If always had enough money to pay for whatever I use on the card, would I still pay interest? And if not, I suppose I can ignore the interest rates and just go for one of the cards that gives free stuff like Nectar points or airmiles?Or, would a prepaid card be better? I don't particularly wan't to pay for one of those though :-/I am in England btw, not sure if that makes a difference to how credit cards work.

I don't know if credit cards work differently in different countries, but in any case, never purchase something you can't pay off right away. When you're choosing a card, you don't want to pick one that has an annual fee. And make sure you know the interest rate. As long as you pay the entire balance off each month, you won't pay interest.Definitely get one that earns points or rewards or cash back or whatever.Good luck.

If your credit is good, you could apply for a credit card like visa, or master card. However, they all charge some type of interest based on your credit score. Some offer you 0 interests for 6 months or so. Then apply an interest rate based on your credit.Lastly, as long as you pay the full amount of what you charged within the 30 days, you shouldn't have to pay any interest on it other than maybe a yearly fee. Some don't charge any annual fee so, you should check around.Good luck!

You should never get a credit card unless you have plenty of money. They should be used exclusively for travel things of that nature so you dont have to carry cash. Not to purchase something that you cant afford to pay for right now. If you dont have the cash in the bank then dont spend it not wise. interest rate is too high. credit cards are a waste of money. It is very displeasing to God to waste money.

Credit cards are really for light usage, you shouldn’t use your credit card if you can’t pay it right away, for it will really cause your bankruptcy.
